Indiana University’s Chinese Flagship Program is designed to allow students to major in any of IU's fields of study while gaining professional proficiency in Chinese. Our innovative and flexible curriculum design allows students to take IU's excellent Chinese classes in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, while receiving supplementary tutorials to advance their Chinese level at an accelerated rate.
Our skilled student advisor works with students from all units at IU (including ROTC, the Kelley School, and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs) to ensure that they are able to complete the necessary coursework for both programs in a timely manner.
By studying Chinese to the 5th year level and beyond, students are able to cultivate a marketable skill and advance beyond basic conversational Chinese.
